Saint Paul, Minnesota — Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations continued on their ninth day across the Twin Cities on Tuesday, but agents left at least one location without making any arrests following strong resistance from the local community.
One of the incidents took place at CentroMex Supermarket in Saint Paul, where ICE agents attempted to enter the premises. According to witnesses, the agents did not present a judicial warrant.
In response, the store owner and members of the community refused entry, closing the doors and standing together to block access. Community members reportedly demanded that ICE leave unless they could show a valid court order.
After failing to gain entry, ICE agents eventually departed the area without detaining anyone.
The incident has been widely viewed as a demonstration of community unity and resilience, highlighting how coordinated civilian action can limit enforcement activity when legal procedures are not followed.
ICE has not publicly commented on the incident.
